What makes a successful business?
Why do some businesses fail??
Chrissie Bedwin

Chrissie Bedwin

In my career as a consultant and manager I have always gained great satisfaction in seeing my clients and staff make progress in their own personal, work or business life.  Coaching my staff through was one of the best parts of being a senior manager in a large organisation, and since then I have provided coaching to a number of directors and managers. To further improve my competence I recently completed an accredited Diploma in Coaching and am about to start an NLP practitioner course.

Range of Experience

As a consultant I have worked with a wide variety of businesses and organisations, whether government departments (as an Ernst & Young associate), FTSE 100 companies such as Compass UK, SMEs in various sectors as well as social enterprises including after school clubs and charities supporting carers.  I also spend time on voluntary work, including mentoring business women and being a board member of 2 housing associations.

Support to Clients

As well as providing one to one support, I have worked with many teams, from boards of directors to work groups in offices.  My contribution to clients has included support in the following areas:

  • Creating the business mission and vision
  • Business strategy
  • Business planning
  • The “end to end” business process
  • Business process design and re-engineering
  • Organisational structures
  • Job design and work organisation
  • People management
  • Improving efficiency
  • Personal planning and development
  • Time and task management
  • Risk management
  • Disaster recovery planning
  • Credit management

Approach

I’ve been regularly head-hunted to work on difficult projects.  This was partly because of my reputation for excellent analytical skills, but also because I relished new challenges and tended to hit the ground running.  But whatever I do, my passion is for seeing positive change – for the individual, the company and the customer
